The weekly fee is set by the Board of Management of Ballybay Community Crèche Ltd. 


Weekly fees, Government Schemes, fundraising and sponsorship are necessary to maintain our childcare service. 


The Crèche employs over 20 persons and operates under the same Financial and Legal requirements as any small business and Employer.  We are a registered Charity but must always ensure that our income is managed so as to satisfy our liabilities.


The Office of the Minister of Children and Youth Affairs (OMC) has introduced a scheme of funding in January 2008 called the Community Childcare Subvention Scheme (CCSS). In September 2010 this Scheme was replaced by the Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) Scheme.

Under this scheme, parents who have an entitlement to a social welfare payment can avail of reduced fees. The fees that you pay will be explained to you on registration and reviewed each year.

In January 2010 the OMC introduced the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme for Pre-School children.  Further information on this scheme is available from the Crèche office.

 CETS – Childcare Education and Training Support Scheme.  Under this programme parents can avail of a childcare place for the duration and hours of certain FAS/VEC courses.  FAS and VEC decide who is eligible, therefore it is important the parents check with them and get a letter clearly stating that they are eligible

All information in relation to Fees is contained in the relevant Fee Agreement which you will receive when your child starts.

If you have any questions in relation to Fees or the various Programmes under which we operate, please do not hesitate to come and have a chat with Laura our Manager or Nicola our Fee Administrator or Maura our Administrator.


Your Fees must be paid on a weekly or forthnightly basis. You will receive a printout of your account every 3 months.  If your account is in arrears you will recive details of your account so we can bring it to your attenation so you can pay what's owed on your account.  We ask that you take a thorough look at it and if you have any questions to please contact Nicola our Fee Administrator or Laura the Manager.

Any decrepancies should be taken up immediately.  Discrepancies will not be cosidered after 5

days from receiving your account details.


We are always willing to give you advance on the eligibily for each scheme and will work out with you the most suitable fee package.
